In losing my mom to cancer when I was just 6 years old…

I’ve searched and searched for a way to bring a bit of my mom back while wanting to help others like her so badly. My mom passed 3 short days after being diagnosed with Leukemia on September 20th, 1989. It’s a time and place that I have gone back to many times over the years wishing a 6-year-old little me, could’ve changed something, anything for her. My mom was an amazing woman, the stories I’ve heard remind me that I was so blessed to have her in those few short years.

I’ve been blessed to have her walk this journey with me as well. See, my mom is a HUGE part of my journey now, losing her pushed me to want to grow my connection with Spirit and the other side, especially the healing side. She guides me in ways I can’t even begin to describe. Her love for me here in the physical plane was everything, and I know in being here, right now writing this, she’s a part of this journey to help you as well.

In my years of being a medium, one of my greatest passions has been medical intuition. Helping those who have been sick with various things, but the biggest ones that have touched my heart have been those battling cancer, whatever form that may be. Checking in to see how Spirit may be able to help, advise, comfort, support, and heal. Over the last 12 years, my spirit team and I have been able to help so many when it comes to this in one way or another.

Along this journey, I have lost a few clients with whom I was blessed to have been able to be there for them and their families during the highs, the lows, the uncertainties… the smiles, the laughs, and the miracles I’ve been blessed to witness. Whether that was in bringing healing (as some call it Reiki, I don’t connect with that term, I call it Healing From Above) where I use God and Spirit to tune in to the body, to not only see deeper within but to aid in bringing pain relief, comfort, healing, etc. Others I’ve been able to be with and their family in the later stages of life, either bringing messages that weren’t able to be communicated any longer, prayer, last rites, baptisms/anointments, blessings and so many other connections with those I was assisting.

Ribboned Angels was also inspired by another beautiful woman named Laura. Oh, how I miss her smile and laugh. Laura was a client turned friend of mine, whom I will never forget. You see, Laura started seeing me years before her passing after battling breast cancer, and when it came back, my spirit team as well as some spiritual friends of mine, all took turns working to help Laura to overcome this another time. You see what was so special about Laura is she allowed me to be there in a way I had wished I would’ve been able to for my mom. Laura passed around my mom’s anniversary of passing coincidentally, or was it? I hadn’t put the two together immediately because I was so consumed with being present for her and her family.

In pausing after she passed, I realized how she gave me the greatest gift she ever could have, without even knowing she was gifting me with something as well. She allowed me to be there in a way I had always wished for my mom. The laughs, the tears, the hugs, the wishing, the praying, and the last time she’d be able to speak to me I held her hand and she said, “Sweet dreams I love you”. Those were the last words I was blessed to hear from her and the most perfect words at that. You see, I wasn’t just able to be there for her, I was able to be there for her kids, and her sister as well. I was able to pray with her, to share in things that I never had the chance to with my mom, those things I had always wondered what it would’ve been like. I am thankful for not only Laura but her family for allowing me to be there during those special moments. And I’m thankful for God allowing us to cross paths, and I know she’s making memories above and I’m sure she and my mom have had a few lunches together.

During and after Laura I still wanted to do more, and more, and more. I waited till I got the sign from above of how I could… and I’m thankful for both of these beautiful women to have shown me a way to try and help as many as I can who are battling Cancer today.
